2004 days are now numberd, getting ready to welcome 2005

BUT

What do you think 2005 will bring for us?

New Government legislation to make eating food in the UK illegal.

Smoking dope and taking recreational drugs will of course be legalised.

well, just listened to John Snow (us treasury) giving a speech highlighting the worlds economy is the best shape for 30/40 years..

Perhaps a Sell off 2005 then for US indices ,weaker dollar , he came across as a really bad stand up comedian turning a stint at butlins, something worrying about that, he's hoping for the rest of the world to create growth..

Interesting set of data on page 11 of Larry Willimas Book "The Right Stock at the Right Time" indicates that the Annual Percent Change in Standard &Poor's Composite index for the last 100 years for decades ending in 5 have never failed to show a loss (based on December prices).
Quote " years ending in 5 from 1885 through 1985 had produced an average gain of 23%.... The year 1995 produced a spectacular gain of 33.5 percent by the DJIA."
Interesting-- but there's a first time for everything......

Stocks go South..in desperation looking for a safe haven those not in property throw whatever cash they have left at it.....those already in buy more....property unbeliveably surges forward to new dizzy heights and at the end of the year I sell off everything to a discerning sharp chappie (ex pro trader type) from London who just knows this is the start of a major bull market....sun sets as I sail off to a warm climate ;)
