Spitzer the Blitzer goes after music label payola

The music labels, accustomed to bullying teenagers, appear to have
pissed off the wrong man. New York attorney general Eliot "The
Blitzer" Spitzer has served up subpoenas to the major labels, as he
digs for information on their relationships with promoters who are
thought to pay radio stations to play certain songs, according to a
report in The New York Times.

Whilst we may not agree with him, he is getting rid of all those nasty practices that we all knew/know about but had to put up with. The small guy out htere will be much better off by the time he has finished with big business.

Yes I most definitely agree with getting rid of all the bad practices, but the way he is doing it is becoming abit like 'boy calling wolf' scenario.

Agreed but nothing is perfect. What I like is the fact that they are all so quick to settle (claiming that that is not admission of guilt), proving that they know something is wrong. By the way, what have the Office Of Fair Trading or any other government body done for us in the UK? How many cartels have they busted? Always getting a raw deal we are and things do not look any better.
