Im a Software Developer, previously worked on Front office Pricing systems in a FX and CFD trading company. These days contracting in a bank for their Post trade(Middle office) systems.
Going forward, I would like to move into more business oriented roles.
Iv got good undesratnding of different investment products but I am quite keen to enhance my domain knowledge and acumen. In order to do so, Im thinking about doing SII certification(Security and Derivates).
Now Im wondering, is it the right thing to do ?
While going through this forum, i found someone saying that SII certification is no good unless you'll be working in a role that needs client facing, otherwise it'll expire in an year.
Im also planing to start an MBA next year. As it wont be from a top business school, im thinkng to complement it with some strong investment and finance certifications.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated ...
