Market Demand?

Hi

Is there any indicator called market demand? My friend has a market demand indicator, but he has got it with a black box system. I´m wondering if there is standard Market Demand indicators or is it found only in the black box system?
Could it be built on put/call indicators?

What's wrong with checking the price and volume action and interplay to guage demand?

And which demand are you interested in?

Demand can be manipulated. Intentionally and indirectly.

Wouldn't you be more interested in finding out who and what is likely to be manipulating demand, for what purpose and with what likely outcome?

Built? It's both a function of and a result of price and volume action. Including outright manipulation.
