Watching Formula 1 while having lunch and a beer.
To my mind you need to be a legal eagle to understand the huge range of rules governing car's specs etc.
The brakes we have just been informed are not water cooled because that is against the rules. They have to rely on air cooling but the angle of the vent must be such that they don't give any more downforce for the car !!
It's the same for every bit of the car - tyres included. What a load of bullsh*t !!
In the good ole days the driver got in a car superbly built for speed etc. Nowadays they are so safety conscious, that the cars are not nearly operating at their max. Slowed by pettifogging rules from pettifogging people. Thank God they finally managed to get rid of that old fool Mosely but there are some more who should go before they ruin the sport with their small minded nonsense imho
