I know traditionally brokers tend to take SII exams and fund management professionals take the IMC (and CFA). But in applying for broking positions (particularly inter-dealer) does the IMC help or is it looked at fairly indifferently, or even worse negatively?
If the IMC is not looked at favourably, then would it be worth not stating that someone holds the IMC on their CV, and instead taking the SII exams?
