Hello everyone,

We are group of private traders aiming to build a diversified portfolio of fully independent manual and automated strategies. This is our first Darwin.

This strategy was in development for about a year. The final version was ready to go in December. It is an unproven strategy but we believe it will achieve very good and consistent performance in the long run.

We will be updating the progress on here on regular basis

Tough week which ended with minor profit. We came close to our historical max DD but thats just part for the course. Hopefully we can bank some more profits before the end of the month and place higher in Darwinia Silver (65th currently).

We ended the month with 5.93% profit and got a €55k Darwinia allocation. Hopefully we are able to repeat or even improve the result and Darwinia placement in April.

Very impressive start! Congratulations! Can you explain what you mean by "unproven"? No backtests? And if it is "unproven", what makes you believe "it will achieve very good and consistent performance in the long run"?

Unproven means that the strategy doesnt have a long live track record. The original version of the strategy was created in 2021 based on past trading experience. Since then it has gone through 3 major changes/adjustments and this current version is quite a bit different than what we started with. This version has been finalized in November 2023 and has been live since December and has been performing consistently. April is the worst month so far. Unfortunately we were unable to migrate our track record from the previous broker to Darwinex (starting in December 2023) so we decided to just start over on Darwinex. We have made another upgrade to the strategy which will take effect in May. It should make the strategy more robust and efficient.

The strategy is manual but very systematic therefore it can possibly be automated which we are looking into. Because of its systematic nature we were able to perform backtests to a certain extent and they have shown that our live performance is not an outlier but a feature. That is why we believe that the strategy will be consistently profitable in the long run. We shall see

Looks like we will get a €40k Darwinia Silver allocation for April. We had some unfortunate losses this past month where the stop loss was triggered by 1-2 pips and then the trades went our way. We also had 2 trades less than a pip away from out final target just for the price to reverse and finally closed for less profit. We havent experienced so many missed/close calls before in such a short period of time so hopefully April was an outlier.

All in all 2.73% profit for April is not bad and hopefully we can build on that in May.
