Quite a few of the spreadbet companies offer bitcoin as a daily funded bet. However, with the advent of CBOE futures contracts, are there any SB companies offering bitcoin futures?

For commodities, the cheapest spread bet firm is Prospreads imo.

I tend to play the VIX options based on my view of what volatility might do. I'm currently long August calls....volatility seems to be too cheap.

I trade with them...have done so for a number of years now. They tend to sort out problems quickly like stupid fills etc.

Fine...i'm not a day trader ...i take positions for weeks to months...so for me it is ok.

I use Interactive Brokers.

Shelbourne Markets is transferring its spread betting business to ETXCapital. Not happy about this, I really liked their platform (same as the Worldspreads (deceased) platform). Anyone know of a SB offering the same platform?

Thanks for this, i did not know. Not good news.There was some security in that a quoted operator LCG owned this outfit; there is somewhat less comfort in an unknown entity now owning them.

What is more interesting is if you had a limit order to buy at 1298. Would you have been filled at 1298 or at 1295ish? I had this issue with an SB recently. I put a limit order to sell before the market opened, the market opened with a big gap, the SB filled me at my limit price. I...

The CME has time and sales up now for the 18th, as you can see it traded 1303.7 then 1 second later it gapped past your stop to 1295.5. So ETX is basically right, they filled you at 1293 which is a lot lower than that 1295.5, but that could reflect their own bid/offer at that time. 19:21:22...
