    Techncial Trader

Thanks for all the wealth of information and everything else that you have contributed Iraj. As a young early 20's newbie, I had recently decided that I wanted to get into the trading game. I came to this board to learn, to shorten my learning curve and avoid being one of those that lose a leg...

The Technical Trader Forum - where is it headed

 Perhaps you misunderstood my post. Perhaps you didn't, but like to interpret it this way so you can have your say. I said, perhaps if he offered something back for free, it will lessen the annoyance and anger of people.

The Technical Trader Forum - where is it headed

JayJay, whilst I do not condone what is going on, It's not my position to judge. So let me offer you some simple yet effective advice. Whether people admit it or not, I think a lot are annoyed that you got something for free and will now profit from it. So why not give a little back? Offer...

The Technical Trader Forum - where is it headed

 Wow. I'm not even advocating what JayJay has done and still hostility towards my post. You must be really wound up about this. As for Grey1's stance towards vendors, and that now it *seems* he has had a change of heart towards them, perhaps he has his reasons. I do not know what went on...

The Technical Trader Forum - where is it headed

I believe the main features of JayJay's subscription are: - He is offering up the Cycle-indicator that Grey1 uses (not the MACCI, but one undisclosed to the forums) which is more reactive/better predictor of turns in the market. That is to those that take the £1,000 3 day course or whatever it...

Hey Iraj, I'm trying to get into the TechnicalTrader room on Paltalk but it has a password on it now?

New Room For Traders From Technical Trader Room

Wheezer, IRAJ is still in TechnicalTrader room. He is not part of JayJay's subscription.

    Program Trading: Trade Entry

I have Tradestation Prosuite 2000i, I don't mind helping with the testing although my coding skills are close to non-exsistant - so if that is more trouble than its worth, then I will bow out. I am not actively trading, so I do not mind running any indicators all day everyday, for however long...

Trader Of The Month *** Charlton ***

I'm only new here but I'd like to throw in my thanks to the guys like Charlton, Pedro, Glenn, lwebb, Lote_tree etc (and anyone that I have accidently forgotten) who are working on coding the "Program trading". It seems like a massive task coding all of the seperate modules etc, and I wish I...

2nd thoughts after the fact?? What is the right move?

What I am currently learning/being taught is the concept of volatility. Volatility, for all intents and purposes, is the "noise" within your timeframe. Therefore, if you set your stop-loss based on the average volatility of the last "x" amount of bars, then this is how you can set yourself up...

2nd thoughts after the fact?? What is the right move?

I'm clearly not in any position to answer this with any form of experience, but isn't the whole point of setting/determining a stop-loss, to set a point from which you feel the odds are unfavourable of the trade going into profit? If you are going to get out of a trade before it hits your...

    Program Trading: Trade Entry

Hey guys, I took a look into Adaptive CCI, which is some of Ehler's work (earlier stuff, I think). It is CCI but instead of having a cycle length setting (like 14 or 20 as you'll find the norm on most CCI indicators) the indicator tries to evaluate and determine the cycle length, and it adapts...

    Problem with holding profitable trades!!

If you are trading stocks (or more than a few contracts) than Grey1's methodology is absolutely brilliant I feel. Where you have been typically closing off your profitable positions, do this instead: - close of only 75% of your position - the other 25% of your position, set a stop loss at your...

    Test your reflexes

I got a 0.059. But I did this via continually clicking the mouse. Otherwise, my best was a 0.19. My best for Escapia is 22.024 - less about reactions and more about pattern recognition and mouse control. Edit: Beat the 0.059 with the constant clicking - see attachment. A 0.004. Lol.

    Program Trading: Trade Entry

I think he meant that in the "Alert Sell" zone (which would be the "overbought" zone in MACCI) you would not take the sell signal if the MACCI was still in an upward direction. Vice-versa for the "Alert Buy" zone.
