I agree we should keep this thread rockin instead of threads about indicators like stochastics that are just a waste of time. A question for you though, how do you use volume in Forex?

Well, I have no idea why people developed any of these indicators, probably to sell them. I don't really care, I just personally think it's a waste of time to trade with them when you can simply trade off the raw price action of the market, which is what the indicators are based off of anyways...

Price action trading refers to trading based solely or mainly off price patterns alone. Sure, indicators are derived from price, but when price forms repetitive patterns itself, what's the point of looking at indicators? If you learn to analyze the raw price action of the market you will spot...

I will typically initially place my stop on the opposite high / low of the price action setup I am trading, but sometimes I will move it to near the 50% level of the setup, it depends on the setup's formation and market structure at the time.

One good mentor to consider is Nial Fuller, he's got a lot of good free info and his trading course and community are well worth the price, in my opinion.

I am just trailing my stop down and locking in profits as I go...

Just noticing that the markets are moving again after the holiday break. I am currently short EURUSD from 1.3050 off the pin bar setup from December 21st still...yes that's right, I am holding this baby for a while because I think lower prices are in store this month...

I look at the daily chart mainly, which gives a much clearer view of trend. If your trend is changing twice a day then you probably need to look at higher time frames.

Yup, it's clearly moving lower here. I sold on the 4hr pin bar and looking for a 1:3 gain.

That pin bar is a little too small and against the trend for me, but obviously price pullback a little bit before moving higher, so it worked for you. But, I don't think this would qualify as a "perfect" pin bar setup, at least in my humble opinion.
