Hi all, Just a quick question, I have recently re-started trading after taking a little break to sort out a decent strategy for myself. I have an account with IG Index and in general find them ok. My account balance is pretty small at the minute and I'm hoping to build it up slowly over time...

I usually only look at the bigger compaies on the FTSE 100. do you know of any broker who operates the same way as Oanda do with curreny trading i.e. allow any size minimum bet?

Hi all, Just a quick question really, I often see references made on here to the "US session" or the "when Asia closes" etc etc. this may sound stupid and I aplogise in advance if it is but i though Forex was 24hr market.? If someone could explain all this to me i'd be very grateful. Thanks.

OUCH!!! ok i guess that pretty much answers my question, i presume though that not any tom, dick or harry could place such a large order. you would have to satisfy the spreadbetting firm that you have enough assets to cover your ar*e if the whole thing goes belly up. as it clearly did for Mike...

i presume Dma stands for Direct Market Access. sorry megamuel but im fairly new to all this, with DMA can you place any size order you like? is it true that DMA is not tax free?

ok so there is such a thing as an upper limit so, thats interesting. i wonder what do all these big shots and super traders that you often hear about do when their account reaches such a size??
