A couple of guys I know have recently got jobs with a big IDB, they went through the graduate recruitment scheme but as has already been said, they had recommendations from a friend already working there which obviously helped!

Niraj, To put things in perspective- of my close friends who I went to university (Warwick) with, almost all had atleast AAB and some with 5A's at A-Level. One guy that was rejected from cambridge with 5As at A-level. And of those, the 4 or 5 guys I know going into to work in the 'dream jobs'...

Just to add to what's been said- from recent experience applying to a number of them there are other trading firms that hire trainee traders with limited or no experience but still offer them good salaries (£30k+) and from there your performance bonus is what increases as you begin to become...

I attended the testing at the end of May, but still awaiting any kind of response on how I performed. I assume they're waiting till all tests have been completed and sending them for marking together as they are computer marked but I don't know when the latest test date was.
