good calls here.... i was long on USDCAD when it broke past 9850 and short on light crude from 8750... wouldnt have taken a look at them if i hadnt read yr posts... thx

i would say that the fact the dow has fallen through its long term upward trendline thats been in place since mar 09 is a pretty good indication the bull markets over but i guess...

altho going back, it seems like prior to july 2010 they used the same method as all the other providers (opening price = previous days clsoing)
where does the FT show this data? all i can see is this -

which shows the opening price equal to the previous days close price

just got the ebook the other day + made my first trade... short on EURUSD when it came back up and touched the ma on the 5 min... currently 47 pips in profit. nice!
i would say that the unique part of phil's strategy (for me) is the way he stops you from trading false breakouts by putting a long (short) above (below) the pullback... i hadnt seen this before and it makes sense...
