    what is a "pricing" developer

Hi, I keep coming accross VBA jobs specialising in "pricing" for investment banks. Please could someone tell me what these jobs actually do? Why would an investment bank need to price products? - surely the market exchanges set the prices offered to buyers and sellers? Thanks, Stu

Do part-time VBA jobs exist in hedge funds / investment banks?

Hi everyone, Please could you tell me how realistic it is for me to look for a part-time VBA role in a hedge fund or investment bank - 3-4 days a week would be ideal. (I'd be looking in London or Geneva). Thanks Stu

I have backtested over a 30 year period and traded for 3 years. Total...

    Establishing a performance record

Thanks fifty2aces, > what differentiates a long-only hedge fund from a mutual fund? Would it not just be > an expensive mutual fund? I'm just trying to keep admin costs to a minimum - my understanding is that mutual funds are more expensive to administrate than hedge funds. >2-3 years of...

    Establishing a performance record

Hi everyone, I'm looking to set up a long-only hedge fund, build up a performance record and then look for investors in about 3 years time. This will be funded by about GB£1million of my money from selling a business. My questions are: 1) Is £1 million enough to be credible? Will potential...
