Regretably you were right, I was faced with a choice to close my long on the first spike for a reasonable gain as there is usualy a drop right after, but I did not anticipate how far the drop would be. Steve

Cautious long entry at 5550, charts on Tom's website convinced me.

Missed a chance to go long at 5607 on my CMC charts, went in cautiously at 5638, hoping for a rise above 5700 in next week, before I close my position.

Cursed myself yesterday for closing my long to early, but sure glad I didn't let it ride!!!

And still going down, my stop's triggered!!

Puzzled as well ---------------------------------------------- I felt the same as you about this, and sat wondering whether to go in short at 4980 but there was so little price variation I backed off thinking there might be a few more points to go, now wondering if I am going to regret it...
