Email alert if PC disconnects from ADSL

Hi All, as an IT guy I wouldn't recommend buying comlex router configs. Cloud based is the way to go and prices are coming down. Get yourself a VPS and let the IT guys worry about it being up and running under an SLA. If you insist on doing somethng at home then yes, you could do a NIC...

    Insurance premiums.

JD, this is quite an open question. What type of insurance and I can give you some insight, but you will never be able to work it out yourself as the matrices used by each insurer is different with different rating factors which update the premium. The approach is broadly standard though.

Regarding the Richard Farleigh Seminar In London on 6th June

Hey folks, I went along to this seminar. It was really good for newbies and ultimately gave some animation to the words in the book.... He came across as a really down to earth guy and had some good points to make. For those that missed the seminar then the values are in the book but you of...

Medium Term Trading Strategies on the FTSE

Hey Michael, while that would be fine by me. You are currently short FTSE and have been since 20th and you didn't take profit during the recent dip. What is your strategy?? Doesn't seem to be too successful Sept to date, would be interested to hear your views??

    FXCM Account Types

Thanks all. FXCM confirmed, I had the wrong account and now have the joys of filling in more sections on my tax return for the next two submissions, DOH!!! Warning to all, be very careful not to get caught out, although I accept it was probably my oversight!

    FXCM Account Types

Thanks All, I got in touch with FXCM and it appears that I did pick a standard trading account rather than a Spreadbetting account. I am now in the process of switching over. Thankfully there is a Capital Gains Allowance in the UK, so my profit so far is not taxable but so pleased I noticed...

Cheers, I will ask them tomorrow but as is s*ds law I always come up with questions when they aren't open. I had a minor panic there given I am currently doing my tax return.

    FXCM Account Types

Hi all, I am trading the FTSE100 only with FXCM. I created an account a few months ago and now on browsing around note that they advertise two accounts. A standard account and a spread betting account, the latter being the only account which is exempt from Capital Gains tax here in the UK...

    Best Thread FXCM Discussion

Thanks, so as I am a retail customer it is held under 'client money' rules. Its just the question of FSCS cover for overseas banks they may have.

    Best Thread FXCM Discussion

Hi All, Client money is ringfenced and can't be used for Operational reasons, if they go to the wall then that money will still be there in the ring fenced accounts and returned to clients. If the bank goes to the wall then FSCS may kick in as its sitting in an account with them (not sure...
