    My spreadbetting scalping technique

I am winning 60%+ of the times but not happy with the sleepy platform e.g. have to wait 30+ seconds to get quote, sometimes it times out a several times, was in profit but they wouldn't let me out by not giving me a closing price for ages etc. sb firms are market of their own and what I find is...

At £1000+ Per Point, Which SB Company is Best for Intra-day Trading ?

I know tightstops but providing that you have minimum required amount of £5000+ or even better six figure capital, should one stop betting with sb firms at £1000pp or before e.g. over £500, £800 etc? Is £1000 the big number, the resistance level? :cheesy:

At £1000+ Per Point, Which SB Company is Best for Intra-day Trading ?

I thought of starting another thread but I thought I might slip this in here... So what stake size does one should stop betting with sb firms? :cheesy:

$10 K => 42 million: Why Dan Zanger is richer than most traders

Talking about making big money, according to Michelle Baltazar's "The Beginner's Guide to Financial Spread Betting" page 3, a couple started betting with £1000 which turned into £1m in eight weeks  I wonder what level of risk (%) they were using.

    slow loading web pages

Switching to Firefox could be an option but if you are using IE, try clearing cache (Tools>Internet Options>Delete Files) and delete cookies(everything by Tools>Internet Options>Delete cookies OR manually selecting unwanted junk ones), close the IE down and try again. It's also a good idea for...

    Do I need two ISPs?

Thank you guys. It looks like two landline & ISP option isn't necessary. I didn't think about the BT exchange problem, if it went down, the two landlines won't do. I'll certainly have dealer desk numbers, my account numbers, laptop and mobile (hopefully charged up or have backup battery) ready.

errm did you mean £100,000 account risking 1% (£1000pp) with 25pts stop or did you really mean £1,000,000 account?

    My spreadbetting scalping technique

There is no perfect solution and you'll just have to see what works for you. Long lunch? Are you trying to hint something? When I come back from break and if it's a winner, I have a tendency to take the profit and run.

    Do I need two ISPs?

Accidents and all sorts can happen especially when you trade and one can never be too prepared for it. So my question is, if I were a dedicated day trader, should I install an extra telephone line and have a second ISP on that line as well? Or am I going too far? :cheesy:

Eclipse ISP - Good, Bad or Indifferent?

Don't make it too complicated. 20:1 contention is good and I think most of them are these days. Assuming that money is not an issue (you should be if you are successfully sb), key points of ISP that you should be concerned are "realibility", "customer service" and "the speed". I'd get broadband...

Eclipse ISP - Good, Bad or Indifferent?

If I were you, I would not go for cheap options. When you are trading, good CS and reliable service is important. Eclipse used to have a good reputation but they only seems to have 3 stars now. I heard Zen or Nildram is good. Have a look at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isps.html

Hoggums, I'm sure you are allowed a few excitements or occasional gambling. :cheesy:
