Ridiculous. How are you even paid? What has been your profit share throughout the year. I.e. I'm assuming they didn't just pay you nothing and give you 3% of your profit at year-end. It sounds like you were unaware of the bonus you would receive. There should be no (big) 'surprises', ever...

"Trends last longer than you expect" - So does learning to trade. Most trader's don't survive their own learning curve. An experienced trader on another blog, said that when new traders want advice on becoming a new trader, they generally repy with not to do it, unless you don't need the money...

Michalg, I was offered the advice once that you should do a finance related degree -- not that having a degree helps you trade, but what you get exposed to and ultimately the people you meet will assist you in your journey. From my experience, everyone is different. There are 1,000's of ways...

Just putting the word out -- anyone here from Australia trade US markets? If you don't mind; bit of info -- solo, part-time, for a corporate, etc. I'm in Melbourne, work in finance, trade after work at night. e-minis - usually pre-market and the pit session. I don't get a whole lot of sleep...
