Perhaps these might come in handy given the current climate of exploding volatility, off the scale VIX and some of the biggest one day moves in history happening across the board ;)

I guess the real question is why do you want the order book, all be it historical and how much value will it really give you vs the cost of getting this data. I assume you're referring to the order-book of LSE registered companies / indexes (ie. LSE acting as a centralized exchange?)

This is of course true and I thank you for the reminder. My point is that it's an interesting level of legislation to hold, myself as an FX daytrader, I find it pointless and the same as any level of trading frequency. No difference to a day trader and a swing trader IMO

This may be true in terms of definition, however what is midnight for me could well be midday for a trader in Australia. In this case you would have to quantify a 'day-trade' as a round trip transaction within a 24 hour period at the time of execution. In hindsight though, as i'm sure we are...
