FWIW, these bets are fairly straightforward to price and are traded upwards of $100MM notional per ticket in the OTC markets. Standard deals are monthly out to five years, so the short-duration bets are pure stat-vol and difficult for IG to hedge. IOW, they're not overtly trying to rape you...

Their "custom" bet is not new... betsfortraders had a patent on the "slider" and they sold that IP to IGMarkets.

Spoke briefly with Jim Mellon in London. Looks like they may be looking to sell the business. Has anyone had any problems funding an account?

Major issues with betonmarkets this week. Is anyone having a problem with the site? I am getting a "500 server error" and cannot login.

I haven't looked at IG's SP product, but it's typically offered = the spot price, but the odds are on the order of 100/175, when fairval is 100/200.

It's a turf-issue. For the same reason that US-citizens cannot trade through the Euro binary shops like BOM, clickoptions, IG-Europe, etc...

My friend received a check fully 3 weeks after it was requested. :eek:

I've traded on IG for a year or so, but not currently. The daily Euro-convention binaries have been 4-wide during the time I've traded. You're stating that there are 8-wide markets on the major-FX binaries?

Regarding betsfortraders.com.... a friend of mine in the EU has been very profitable, but has yet to receive his requested withdrawal, [between 5-10k Euro]. He submitted the withdrawal over two weeks ago. I would not deposit a dime with betsfortraders.com
