    Question to oil deals

Oil is quite complex to trade physically...any goon can take a punt on the futures market. What's your background?

Mako & Liquid Capital Assessment Centre on the same day!

If it's any consolation the Mako interview is good fun. Apparently the Liquid Cap process is more hardcore.

Interesting site Grenade... I read the bios of the guys who put it together and neither of them are professional traders? Not sure they should be giving advice about getting a job in trading if they haven't been through the process themselves and come out of the otherside... But anyways trader...

    FSA Exams (Unit 1 & 4)

Stukm, I've just passed the Derivatives and Financial Regs exams and with regard to a firm making you resit - i can imagine, after a while, if you haven't joined a firm the Fin Regs knowledge will decidedly leave you as it is incredibly dry/boring... So it's in the firm's interest to make you...

How'd did you get on dev2012? I have a telephone interview soon and am trying to nail probability theory while i've still got time. I'm going in with an open mind as, from above, the questioning seems pretty intense :) Cheers Rich

Traders Wanted - The Tibra Group

I'm sorry TaKiii but I completely disagree with you. The whole point of the academic barrier test is to assess whether you will be able to cope with the kind of maths/logic arbitrage traders need to deal with on a daily basis. It's a prequisite - The basic skills you need. Trades deal with...

    Sael Options test

Hi Mensatrader, No I'm not from the Netherlands, but I'm definitely not opposed to living there when I graduate ;). I see you've had quite a few interviews with firms I plan on applying to, have you had any luck with getting a position with any as of late?

    Sael Options test

Sorry bit of a hijack. With firms like All Options based in Amsterdam, would there be a bit of a language barrier if you didn't speak Dutch? I mean is the training conducted in Dutch? Just interested...
