I have used it, mostly to try and support a friend who had subscribed. There were a few red flashing lights for me: 1. I don't like the idea of "black box" trading, which is designed to keep you feeding the beast for ever. 2. Their reluctance to get their traders talking to each other concerns...

Captial Gains Tax rate on CFD trading when you have no income

For my ha'pennies worth - HMRC know that most punters lose while spread betting, so it does not want to tax it as it would also have to give tax relief to losers. I don't think its about size of the profit, as the other side is that big losers ought to be given relief. Trading inside a...

IMHO still badly. I subscribed to the DT2 upsell, which looks on paper, but assumes no slippage, etc. It eats up your equity and assumes perfect execution. There are many losing trades when the market is choppy, and you often don't ride the winners. Beware the positive posts and reviews as...

    Boiler Room Scams

Had a call this morning from 0203 769 3634 - a company called "Choice Option". It was from a woman who called me "love" and "darling" and told me she was in a hurry as she had to get back to the trading floor to make money for clients (didn't know binary options were floor traded!). She offered...

Beware anyone who is relying on the great reviews - TS now reward people giving great reviews.

I tried TS out of curiosity and asked for my money back in a matter of days. It is a black box aimed at novices and I found the "trainer" / coach to be a novice and hugely patronising. It isn't worth the money and it doesn't really teach you everything you need to know to become a successful...

    Trading other people's money

I am loathe to put responses on the board here, as it reflects my (and my lawyer/accountant's) view of the regulations. PM me with an email address and I will gladly share my research. BTW some of the rules have changed since some of the earlier posts. Do also bear in mind the tax side of things...

    Trading through LTD company

The smartest thing I did was talk to my accountant. He understands trading as well as the tax issues of setting up as a trader or a money manager. Time and money very well spent. A little knowledge is a very dangerous thing!

    Trading through LTD company

You would struggle to get trading treated as capital gain. As ever, you need to pay for good advice from an experienced accountant, based on your own circumstances.

    Trading through LTD company

Don't count on getting ER on this kind of business, as it won't work. Also, HMRC have enough grey matter to see through the deferred income idea. I have explored some of these with my accountant. Also, a company can spread bet, but will pay tax on the profits. I seriously suggest getting some...

    Trading through LTD company

Well - that's not as easy as it should be and often comes down to what your local tax office says. My accountant has a good relationship with them and has done the pleading and begging on my behalf. Good to be able to offset costs as well.

    Trading through LTD company

Hi I have done this, with the help of a local accountant who has done my structuring. I don't want to advertise a particular firm here, so let me know if you want an introduction.

    Black Dog Trading System

I would be very suspicious of some of the sites touting the virtues of this system. I have found that a number of them are affiliates making money from selling the system. There is absolutely no need to spend $295 on this system. It just is not worth it, as the rules are out there courtesy of...
