FTSE 100 vs German DAX: which is best and what indicator?

IG's spreads don't obviously show any volume as they just reflect the indices themselves. To get volume data you need quotes for the Z & FDAX contracts, they're the futures contracts of the FTSE & DAX. Nearly all software such as CQG, eSignal, DTN/IQ provide this data at a cost, but if you're...

    Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Would you place a trade in the early hours on FTSE, when volume is almost non-existent? The chance of big gaps overnight i.e between 9pm & 7am is fairly slim these days...there's only been a handful of 40 point gaps this year and even when there is, there's usually an attempt to close the gap...

how to set-up a tiny fund

Given that you & i suspect your friends are all UK-based, you should be able to get spread-betting accounts set up for all your clients and get them to sign a 'power of attorney' thereby trading in a similar fashion to a small fund.

    Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Hi, Not posted before, but I've been looking at the ranges in the FTSE over the last month and despite all the concerns out there - Greece, double-dip recession etc - the volatilty, taking in the daily range, is at the lowest level in 5 years. Cheers
