If you have an iPad, try Confidant. You can create custom instruments that you can then backtest against real historical data. It is easy to use, and doesn't require any programming.

It's an iPad app for backtesting. Doesn't look like it's for forex, but I could be wrong. It doesn't seem to have a lot of formulas, or complex ones. But it does look easy to use and customize patterns. I'm just wondering if anyone experienced had any thoughts on it.

If so, do you recommend it? I'm looking for a good backtesting tool, preferably on iPad.

Looks promising and simple. But is it too simple, and does it work? Does anyone have any recommendations for similar backtesting apps/platforms that are not as intimidating as some of the ones I've seen so far? Thanks in advance!
