Isn't spread betting supposed to carry considerably greater risk?

Well I was planning on my hold time being 3-10 days and probably holding no more than 5 positions at a time, so in theory, so trading no more than 15 stocks in a month (in theory). As for ETFs, no I'm looking at sticking to just stocks.
