    Sticky Welcome to Trading Journals!

I agree that a journal doesn't need to be more than a spreadsheet - but it's essential to have some track record of your performance and what you did. I'd be interested to know if you find time go through those old screenshots - and how helpful they are?

Elder Impulse System - any experience?

Thanks for your feedback. Was thinking about adding the ADX indicator in an attempt to filter out sideways action. Any thoughts?

Elder Impulse System - any experience?

Hi, I've recently started using Elder Impulse charts, after reading a post about them on tradersbulletin. Am using them on dailies at the moment, and having some success, but would really like to hear from anyone who's using these on shorter timeframes, and ideas to avoid getting into frequent...

Ouch! Well, I for one would be interested to hear what you find out traderbeeb.

    Too good to be true?

There's clearly something on there limiting risk. Most of the losses look below 4%. Just those two nasty ones are around 7% - would want to know what went on there.

    Going long and short

Sounds a lot like Martin Carter's MRP systems. I read an article recently (sorry, I can't remember where) about how correlation in the markets is on the increase with faster trading, betters comms etc - and how correlation trading is the way of the future??

Ad Break Trader - any good?

Hi, I've been sent several emails marketing this system. Does anyone have any experience of the product? There's very little on the MMR site to go on. Would be really helpful to have your thoughts ...

    Bedtime Trader

Found lots of not-so-favorable comments about this on the Trader's Bulletin review page too. I decided against it.

    Spot oil

Really pleased to see an oil thread - are more people waking up to this market? I've just started following a WTI/Brent correlation system. Had a bit of a bumpy start, but sticking with it.

Thanks to Jedster and NVP for your feedback and comments. I'll definitely take a look at Joe Ross. Out of interest, the method I'm looking at is called MRP Energy.

It uses a custom indicator to tell you which one is oversold/undersold, and you take a profit when they move back into alignment. That's the theory, anyway. Looking back at historical charts tho, I'm slightly nervous by how widely Brent and WTI can drift at times.

    Oil and Oil stocks

Thanks for your reply. The strategy I've been mulling over trades the correlations between Brent and WTI - seems pretty subtle, but I'm hoping is less open to other influences that trading correlations between oil and currencies.

Best Thread Correlation Trading - Basic Ideas and Strategies

Hi, I'm new to this thread and haven't trawled through all the posts, but was wondering if anyone had had any success with trading Brent/WTI correlations? I've been reading about a strategy that does that, but I don't know anything about commodities trading, and wondered if you had any insight?
