Markets evolve. The strategy you were using in 1980s may not be appropriate for today. As the market adapts to the world, you have to adapt yourself. Indeed, volatility is also a big factor. Plus all the technological advances. You need to learn new techniques.

To be honest, there are many trading courses out there that tell you how to trade, strategies, etc. which you can find on google for free. check out www.investopedia.com Its pretty good. Theres allot of articles/courses which are free. I would start with that. good luck on all your endevours.
