    Todays ftse with gdp

Arguably, UK stock indices are already somewhat inflated. Don't forget, the price of FTSE companies' shares reflects those factors from which GDP is measured. However, cable surged on the announcement, suggesting perhaps the two are not mutually priced relative to overall economic performance.

"Traditionally CFDs have been traded through a broker. Your broker makes a price for a given underlying instrument like the UK100 and you have no option but to accept the price that they offer you. By accepting the price you have entered in to a contract with the broker. In many cases the broker...

Yes. Margin helps you front up only, say, 40% though.

Whether you're heading Deutsche Bank's dark pool algorithmic 'stealth' trading or getting calls from high places on small caps, it's usually down to liquidity/volatility. All securities smell the same; it's really only their colour and weight that differ. TA is the visual appearance of...

Be sure of this: there will be many along the way willing to strip you of cash; avoid so-called trading universities, they're often people not quite bright enough to work for a fund. See if you can get some unpaid experience, make some friends, and get contacts. Once you've done this for maybe...

How far can you go with spreadbetting?

If clients were guaranteed to lose, it wouldn't make much sense to employ a spread; make the price more attractive (i.e. negative spreads) thereby gaining volume and wait for profit. The concept of the spread is such that it allows a return for the broker should its net position remain neutral.

    Traders Alert - Vince Stanzione

Very impressive honesty. Unfortunately, it appears the market for appealing to the less informed by the knowledgeable for purposes of gain is significantly bigger than for those more informed to become better informed and bet successfully themselves.

Why employ a spread if successfully taking the other side of the market consistently were certain?

Not entirely sure why Fins would encourage them to close the position given they'd likely be profiting from their spread through fill-on-fill offsetting. But then I haven't read the story, and I'm not about to. :p

    It sucks

Just spoke to one of IG’s lovely customer helpers, who assured me their typical spread on EUR/USD is 2, not guaranteed. Guessing that they charge maybe 2 pips for the risk premium, I’d say we’re cheaper than the market leader. POW :cheesy:
