For swing trading?

As the title goes, how often do you check your trades once your in? Once a day, once every couple hours or what? My second question is, why do many stocks tend to move up or down at the end of certain days? I mean in the last 10-15 minutes of that day. Are these swing traders jumping in/out?

No hard stops as I'm a swing trader but my stops are quite large compared to the trade but not the account.

Thursday I stupidly placed 3 trades on a down day forgetting that unemployment rate was coming out on Friday and I even managed to go on margin with one of the trades accidently. Next day, I'm up 10% and I close out my positions which were down 10% the day before. 9.4, I love that number.

Now I know how to calculate ROI, that's not the problem. All those calculations seem to only calculate ROI for the initial capital and the amount that's grown by, but how about if 2 months in you add more capital. For instance say I trade with 300 From January to March and increase it too 350...

The ex div date is not always on Wednesdays mate, it can be any date. Example UTG which has it's date set on July 20th (Monday) with record date on July 22.

Well since the ex div date is 2 days before the record date so its still the company setting that date. The fact that the exchanges fix the date is just a technicality cause it depends on the companies record date.

Companies will declare dates called "ex-dividend dates". If you want to receive the dividend you have to purchase and be holding before the ex dividend date. So if Wally-world announces it's ex-div date is May 28th, you'd have to buy before May 28th to get the dividend. Simple.
