Further update to my last reply, received an alert on Sunday 11th referring to Friday's alert (?), but no charts included, just a link to the Forex Factory calendar. This is followed by a paragraph regarding trends for Monday. No updates received since! :thumbsdow

I've just received Bread & Butter Trader by Mark Rose. It's not too complicated, but I've yet to finish reading the instructions and then have to watch some online videos. If anybody else here using it, I'd be grateful for your comments, thanks. :)

Thanks GF, but I feel I shouldn't get too involved with VPS until I get some MT4 experience to start with - learning curve and all that. :confused: Also, if it's not possible to run VPS without downloading anything, I may have a problem with Japanese machines anyway so I need to investigate...

:thumbsup: Sounds like a good approach, my post from 24 Feb. Still no further progress due to situation here in Japan, but hoping to get going now UK clocks have changed, JPY has G7 support, no power/network problems so far, and just back from Korea.

Thanks Jim, but IG Index don't open spread-betting accounts for residents of Japan, also a number of other countries. :cry: I know MT4 auto-close works for Forex, but wasn't aware if it would work with indices or not. I would imagine that would be a very useful feature to include in an EA.

Ted, I'm looking for a way to automatically close my BB bets at 4:30 UK time. Where I live, that's half past 1 am :sleeping: The UK 100 Daily Cash that ETX offered last year seems to have been discontinued, would I be able to do this using SLM's MT4 platform, please? It'll be some time...

Unlikely, basic requirements presumably would be an aptitude for left-hand trading, using GGM's unique charts! :lol:
