That really depends on the broker, the swap fees and the client profile. But again, it's mostly an individual issue: how long is the trader holding the position vs. how many execs does he perform in which size and which account type... Thanks for the really nice high level discussion!

In case of swap free accounts the entry level of the position is adjusted every day. So you have changes in the P&L of the position but no interest effect.

I am using several brokers. The best deal was joining under the IB of a large trader and getting his fee schedule.

Forget unregulated brokers. You might never get your money back! Don't even think of it... some unregulated dont even employ segregation of assets. They just have a website and a rented trading platform. BTW - a licence in the caribean can be obtained on company foundation without any qualified...

I would not use the trading interface from a broker as they not only see your positions and your trade configuration but also can track where your mouse is and what you are about to do...
