Like Davidee suggests, maybe a Market Maker isn't the best choice for Scalping (might be some exceptions). Maybe it depends on what you mean by short term trades, what time frame?

ECN brokers should not be interested in you losing (and them stealing), seems like you have had some bad experiences, sorry to hear that.. Have you tried several ones?
