What i meant to say is in relation to your deposit it is higher risk because you can lose more than you put down, ( obviously with shares you put down a the whole amount to begin with anyway) someone may thinking their liability is limited to the deposit ...

    They're a lot higher risk than normal shares as you are trading on margin, plus the "punter" psychology can kick in , so be very careful.

    They don't offer DMA which is thier only downside if you trade equties, I have used their speadbetting platform with no compliants for the odd index trade, but don't use it for much beyond there.

    Newbie question about CFDs!

    as I am a UK resident and have only opened accounts with UK brokers i can't really help you with which ones accept international clients and which ones don't. As long as you're not a US citizen i can't see it being a problem. I would try IG and City Index. good luck
