This is most likely a dumb question. Take for example a 10-min candlestick, let's say from 15:00 to 15:10. Is this computed including *all* trades between whitin this time interval? Or is there some sort of time discretization?
I ask this because I want to understand what exactly determines...

thanks. Problem here is that something came up and I was away from the screen. Got back at last minute and tried to cover but couldn't. Also, I thought the gap was due to earnings. If I *had* read the news, I would have known it was a takeover bid and I would have made sure to close...
Things learned from this:
1. make sure to read the news to know why there was a gap (I somehow thought

2. never try to cover a position one minute before the close
Well, I'm screwed. I only hope it will bounce down after the bell. I'm here ready with my finger on the trigger. How would you deal with this situation?
