Given how much the market sold off over the last 2/3 months based on inflation fears I would expect possibly more downside as this sort of confirms some of those fears. Impressed and puzzled by the US markets rally from the low open. But hey nothing is ever always rational so the Fed might pause...

My small long managed to get stopped out by those wonderous folk who drop the price to trigger your stop only to take the market straight back up, same on my NDX long, amazes me when the price my stop went at did not even register as the low of the day! I am closing my short here ahead of possible support @ 5900. All in cash now, closed my NDX long yesterday.

Whats that based on then? Guess you mean its just going to be a flat day! I personally think we might see 6000 print before we get a good pullback, but I will let the price action show me the way.

Closed my NDX long @ 1510, closed 1/2 my FTSE short, think we drift down (healthy pullback) for a few days.

closed that for a small loss on the break of 5935, still long the ndx will look to reshort the ftse on the approach to 6000

Yeap looks like a small double top at 5930 over last 2 days. I am short.

Scaling out the NDX long and into the FTSE short here, 1515 target on NDX and looking at 5930-50 to short on the FTSE. Cheers all. Ditto on UK hero!

So quiet for such a big day! LOL. Potential temp/short term washout? NDX just moved up 30 points off its intraday low, ditto for the FTSE. Atleast Friday's going to be fun!

Yes NDX very weak, averaged down slightly so I am long around 1520, going to hold for a while. The a break of the June lows looks bad. FTSE due a sharp downward shock if the US does stablize today, and I might short as a hedge against my NDX long for now. Good luck all and well done if you were...
