CapitalCFDs are not DMA- the only two companies I am aware of that offer DMA CFDs is IG and FP Markets

Suggest looking into FP or iBet, both offer DMA rather than just DMA functionality

I would suggest iBet Financials for high volume traders or FP Markets- both companies actually offer Direct Market Access, not just DMA 'functionality'

ECN, DMA, STP...principally they are all the same thing! DMA stands for Direct Market Access, meaning the positions automatically go straight to the market. From what I understand, they automatically hedge every position, I know the fact they have the SB wrap automatically sends off alarm bells...

Likewise, but with these new brokers coming onto the scene offering DMA, it's only a matter of time before the likes of IG start to offer it... IMO when there's a choice between DMA or bucket shops like CMC/CS etc etc etc, DMA gets my vote everyday of the week... I use FP myself, their rates...

The brokers offering DMA SB are technically the counterparty to the trade, but because everything is automatically hedged, there are no conflicts of interest.

Totally agree with pretty much everything you say, nice to see someone on here who actually has experience working in the industry and who tells it exactly how it is..... Personally a broker who sends and executes your trades to market is paramount, as you just can't trust a market maker not to...

I wonder if these 'financial irregularities' has anything to do with the reported 'unusual client trading patterns'....ie in other words, clients were placing winning bets

Doesn't necessary mean this is the case for WorldSpreads...IG insight only shows IG clients! What other reasons could it be? Un-regular trading patterns maybe LOL? Effectively another way of saying clients were winning......

This is the reason why I personally prefer DMA....they auto hedge every position meaning the house risk is limited. I can only assume they had many un-hedged long positions, and with the markets rallying since the turn of the new year, has subsequently come back to severely bite them in the...

A DMA or STP broker...LCG & Barclays are market makers, their pricing therefore only mirrors the underlying exchange (currenex in this instance) rather than receiving the pricing direct.
