    Electronic broker access to Italy?

Hey, I’m sorry for the delay. I already have a small IB account, I checked and they have exactly three tradable products in Italy: Italiana (IDEM) - Products and Exchanges So much for "Gateway to the World's Markets"......... !! But, I did find many “shadow products”, both stocks and options...

    Electronic broker access to Italy?

What can I say? Some are there, some not :) But easy access to all those products would be a big leap forward. What would be the easiest way to access these? Electronic, preferably direct-access. Again, I appreciate all your advice.

    Electronic broker access to Italy?

Well, I wanted to take a position yesterday but my current online broker appears unable to execute in Italy, so depending on the conditions I’d be happy to open an account a.s.a.p. BTW I am Dutch citizen.

    Electronic broker access to Italy?

Thanks so much. I visited both the Cortal and Comdirect sites but find both rather incomplete, especially lacking a clear list of tradable products and available exchanges. I requested a Cortal info-pack by email but apparently there’s no immediate delivery. If there’s anything you could...

    Electronic broker access to Italy?

Hi, Anyone help me find an electronic broker with full access to Italian stocks and stock options at BorsaItaliana/IDEM in Milan? Preferably but not necessarily with an English version web site. Thanks very much! -dewitte

How can I measure liquidity of options?

Just to add: NTM (near-the-money) options are usually most liquid, so when the underlying moves away it may "leave behind" options that have already built high OpenInt but become less liquid now they move ITM or OTM.

need help please with vertical spread

Rule of thumb: your broker will never exercise without an explicit order from you. In both your cases the stock will be put to you and your broker will immediately sell at market. You end up with just your long put (assuming you mean "put", not "call") or, if it expired, with nothing. Should...

    Calculating bid-ask spread

For $31.95 a month you can purchase a daily eod options data file (>100,000 symbols, US only) that has bid/ask, including years of history, at www.tbsp.com The closing price is useless since the bid/ask may have moved away hours or days ago. Of course you need bid/ask for any kind of...

    Options price charts

Robertral, I did get your "call" the first time... I’d share your view that in options charts factors such as time decay and moneyness can provide the inexperienced with a misleading picture, but not the zealotry with which you wage war against ‘m. They mean just as much (or little) as an...

    Options books

I'd endorse especially Natenberg's book but would add: once you've read 'm all and think you know everything about options, top off with Charles Cottle's Options: Perception & Deception (if you can lay your hands on it). You'll feel like a beginner knowing the basics again! -dewitte

    Options price charts

No TA to an option chart? Why not? If both don't make sense why not stick 'm together? Saves space and keeps the REAL charts clean  This is not a TA forum so let's not go into this. Hey it's just a chart, shows you at which price the thing traded. If anything it visualizes the leverage...
