I think that Hedge Funds don't have too many regulations because every investor has to be worth at least £1 million. Also, they have to be able to demonstrate a regular income of more than 200K PA for the past 2 years. I'm not sure Hedge Fund is the way to go on a startup, unless you're connected.

It seems to involve a lot of trades - if you are paying a spread of 2 pips each trade, you might be better off holding the trades for longer, and reducing the impact of the spread on your profits.
