I was wondering this kind of thing too, is it too convaluted to look at the two varibles through Bloomberg's regression tool? I'm not sure what regression models it uses or over what time frame. Thanks.

We'll see what happens without the support of those shorts in a huge sell-off. The fact is they don't care if it's right or wrong, it is just to placate the public.
