Yes and No. I am definitely a beginner and have read some books such as The Intelligent Investor. I am just starting to create my portfolio and was wondering what are your thoughts on General Electric at 11.60 if it is a good buy for the long term

Is General Electric a good buy for the Short AND Long Term at around $11.50? I'm not sure If I should get in right now or wait and see what the market does for a little while longer.
