I saw someone advertising his system which I think uses "carry trade of electronic currency". His system earned him US$300 to US$600 a day in interest for 1 month (Aug 2007). What is electronic currency? How does it work?

I tried on a demo account (of course!) these transactions: Long GBP/JPY Short GBP/USD Short USD/JPY I tried to "neutralize" the movements of GBP/JPY against the other 2 pairs but it does not sum to zero or even near zero. Why? Isn't Long GBP/USD and Long USD/JPY the same as Long GBP/JPY?

Anyone here heard of the delta phenomena? How is it used in forex trading?

I wanted to try to trade the news by entering 2 limit orders a few pips above the current price (for the buy limit order) and a few pips below the current price (for the sell limit order). I tried that using virtual money and it worked. By the way, is this the way to play a news release...

I read somewhere that this trader will take a maximum of 5% (or whatever %) draw down. Is he referring to 5% on his capital or 5% on his traded margin used? Is that a stop loss for him?

I think that if any party who can move the rates that much in such a short time has to be large institutions (like banks). Isn't that true? Anyway, I had a look at the EURUSD for weekly time frames. It seems to be trending upwards. The news like what you said was just "noise" in this time frame.

I could understand why the EU rallied after the announcement but after that it was like the big players (banks?) did not want the EU to reach higher levels (historic high of 1.5000?) and started selling the EU. I think the EU dropped more than 100 pips after the announcement of the US jobs data.

After the release of US employment numbers, the EU rallied for a while then for the next 2 to 3 hours, the EU declined, what happened there? When prices move that rapidly downward (or upward) can i assume the banks are responsible for pushing it lower (or higher)?

Hi I am thinking of starting a blog but I want to use my own domain name (i.e. not the ones from blogspot) and I want the look of the blog to be different from the ones you get from blogspot. How to go about doing this? Thanks.
