Dax futures vs DAX cash (spread bet)

I think you are right in that the spot is derived from the futures price with some adjustment. Can you explain what adjustments apply to the DAX, i.e. what you mean by cost of carry? thank you

Dax futures vs DAX cash (spread bet)

THank you, does that have anything to do with negative interest rates? I'm trying to ascertain the cost of carry. I know dividends don't apply to the DAX as it is a total return index so there are no adjustments made to the futures price in this respect.

Dax futures vs DAX cash (spread bet)

Hi Does anything know why the mar 22 dax futures price is lower than DAX cash? I thought there was an in-built interest rate applied to futures so making it higher than the cash price?

Accuracy of dividend adjustments & 10% deduction

Hi For an index (say FTSE 100), how do you know the adjustment made by a provide like IG is correct? Is there transparency around this? Also, if you are long, I believe IG returns 90% of the dividend? Since 16/17 tax year, the 10% notional pension credit was removed so why not payout 100%...

Checking if Covered Warrants are good value

Hi Guys I'm looking to trade Covered Warrants and read something that Covered Warrants are very expensive i.e. there are cheaper alternatives (options via LIFFE). There's also the theory that they are priced extremely high at launch and near expiry they get cheap so they double sting the any...

Arrr i see, when you refer to the secretary do you mean registrar like capital, equiniti. If not, how do the registrar's come in. As in shares are settled & cleared through CREST system which I guess are linked to the registrar's system so the registrar's can update their records? How do new...

    Rolling over "Long Gilt Futures"

Martinghoul, interesting for you to reveal your views on gilts...I think jap yields are approx 1% but i beleive theres a good reason for that-they have deflation so even at 1% they get positive returns plus domestic savers soak up most of the G bond issuance. We can't say the same for Gilts. I...
