I would be more comfortable trading one with lower success rate because the ones with higher rate tend to be over optimized and fit historical data but fail in real trading.

Oil is in contango so ETFs that hold oil futures will lose money every time they roll contracts forward.

You are rigth that humans will not change but 50-60% of daily volume comes from coputers now so markets do change.
