I tried them a few years ago and to my horror found out after my first US trade that they charge a hefty currency commission on top of their normal commission . The currency commission was charged on both the buy and sell!

Thanks. TDW charge a hefty commision for foriegn stocks. In the end I went with Interactive Brokers.

In the end i went with IB. Not as nice as ETrade US or optionXpress but at least I can short.

Interesting. until sterling collapsed (to my benefit) I used to trade the cash market in the US through ETrade and optionsXpress - both of which are excellent. Good to hear the ETrade UK is good too - I will speak to them as well regarding moving my SIPP to them. I have always been in the cash...

Forgot to say that I tried ShareScope and absolutely hated its "Data Mining" featuer. I am used to StockFetcher.com and MetaStock which are a joy (and more importantly simple)

Trying to speak somene is almost impossible. My last email query was answered after 2 weeks! I am used to optionsXpress and ETrade - OX has live chat so you get things sorted straight away and ETrade, if you are a Power ETrade customer, will answer within 24 hours. Even my UK brokers...

Hi I am looking for a SIPP CFD provider. Given City Index and IG Index have pulled out of this market, the current choice seems to be limited to CMC Markets and GNI Touch. CMC markets does not appear to get good reviews. GNI has no reviews in T2W, but, it does seem to have good reviews...
