all you need to know is how to add, subtract and multiply so you can work out weather your in profit or loss, unless you want to create a system where it predicts the market for you (if that is possible!). The movie "The Bank," is an excellent movie (my favourite) where he uses mandelbrot...

not that i know of. I think the software is extremley expensive. However, there is a guy who sends out a report every morning, who has the software and is spot on alot of the time with his analysis. www.macleanreport.com i think it is. if thats the wrong link try searching the maclean report...

G'day everyone, I have 3 large handdrawn charts, and no charting software. I was wondering with the gann fan, how i would asjust it. It's supposed to be used on a ration of 1:1 for price and time. i.e. one square of time to one square of price. for every bar on my chart it is two 2mm boxes...

. ok, how do i do that? Do i say, entry at x price. Stop at y, blah blah? do i analyse the volume as the day progresses?

Here's another Heres another chart (sorry it's in a word document) It's the S&P500. My analysis: The latest bar could not take out the down bar before it. Also, the latest day had a lighter volume than the day before that went down. therefore, tomorrow will be down. Am i right or totally...

umm, i'm not a guru like alot of the others here, but i would have waited for a lower high or something to confirm the move down. Looking at volume, it looks like it has dropped off since it moved down, so it may just be a false break of the line. if i'm worng please say so i will get it right...
