Traderboi29, I've just spent the last 20-mins reading both of your threads and the lead into this week. Interesting, I can see both sides. Keep us updated and good luck.

FuturesBetting - closing down - any views ?

I agree with the sentiments above. The platform was great and hope they reform using the same software. Just to follow up on this thread, I received all my money from them yesterday which was obviously a concern given other market events over the week-end.

    futures expiry

sorry, but you've got it the wrong way round. If the dividend stream is MORE than the cost of carry then fair value will be below spot and the Future will trade at a discount. Future fair value = Spot + cost of carry - dividend until expiry. Around this fair value the Future will trade, but...

    TwoWayFutures

Yes, they are. I find the platform excellent. They shouldn't be compared to other SB companies as you are effectively dealing straight into the Futures markets.

    The FTSE 2006

I play these things all the time. Best to choose your moment rather than trade all the time. They are great fun when mixed into a full binary portfolio but in themselves they can be hard to make money. I tend to go through periods of profitability on them, then loses. Best to choose periods...

    Binexx being absorbed into cityindex

When the SB company 'eyeball' your trade before accepting it, this delays the dealing process and means you get many failed deals, in fact it begins to feel like you only get a fill on a price that immediately moves 10 points against you ! It's very irritating and most people shift SB company...

    1pt spreads

Hi Hung, Take a look at TwoWayFutures.co.uk - they back to back with exchanges through Gibraltar - means that you pay the market Futures spread plus some comm - on the dax ends up being 0.5 point spread +0.168 each way, so good value. The back to back means its in a tax free wrapper. Only...

Vision correction without surgery - an experiment

hi Arb, I await your results with interest as I'm a -3.25. My daughter is slightly dyslexic and is at the moment doing eye therapy for 'convergence insufficiancy' (where your eyes can't cope with shifting from long to short) - as this may help (well stop the brain confusing her anyway). I'm...

    Break Out - Opportunities posted

Hi Baptist, Shame I didn't follow on HAS (didn't see your posting), you are laughing this am!! Still waiting for the opening on FCU, 9:03 and still no trades, but given markets expecting it to open up - so I guess you'd expect it to drift off through the day? Therefore I'll keep watching it...

    Significant days for the FTSE?

I only look at the moving average of the intradays (10week), not the sd from that. I use it to keep an eye on market activity as much as anything, also keep eye on vol indices for the same reason. rgds
