Trading the 200ema on M5 chart?

Hi Vonkk, Good to hear from you, and yes, I think there's mileage in exploring the opportunities surrounding the 200ema and the effect it seems to have on directional changes. But there's a caveat - as mrsoul so rightly points out - it doesn't give reliable results in a range bound market - as I...

What are your thoughts on the UK housing market?

An interesting proposition - have we reached the bottom of the Housing Market? Recent surveys suggest that house price falls have stabilised, and we may have seen a slight increase in prices over the last 6 months - this is likely due to the shortage of available product causing renewed price...

    Biker traders

Hi Millsy, Good to hear back from you. When I get some spare time, I'll scan some more pics and mail them to you - thanks for posting the Cherry Pie and the Monster. My mate is on his fifth rear Dunlop and his third front. Hasn't noticed any difference over the original factory rubber...

Trading the 200ema on M5 chart?

Hi Mark, Wow - thanks, you've really given this a great deal of thought, and given me a great deal to think about. I'm going to take my time to digest all your points - and put the results into action. You're right though about the danger of using a 10 pip stop loss. In practise, I'm actually...

Trading the 200ema on M5 chart?

Hi Mark, Thanks for coming back to me - much appreciated. I've had three out of four winning trades this week using this as an entry signal on M5 chart. Today at 11.55am BST, the GBP USD crossed just below the 200ema which was still showing an up-trend. I waited for the doji candle to close, and...

Nice one Millsy - pics look great! If you get bored, let me know and I can always send you some other groovy bike pics from my past. I asked my buddy with the Night Rod, and he's running on Dunlops - reckons they're great for him. I'm on my second rear tyre with the XR, a Dunlop Qualifier, and...

    Newbie Forex Trading

Hi Pete, In my opinion, it's a huge advantage to have a second screen. Means you can click and drag a chart across, watch two charts at once, organise your workspace better, and also follow Internet Explorer for news, or Outlook Express for mail. I installed a second screen three months ago and...

Trading the 200ema on M5 chart?

Hi There, Can any experienced traders point me towards strategies regarding the 200ema? I've just completed a decent week, but noticed lately on the 5 minute charts that, in a down trending market (GBP USD, and EUR USD), that the 200ema which I've recently plotted on my charts, has acted as a...

    BARX Barclays fx

Agreed - you can get tighter spreads with other providers, but, for me the benefits of great order execution, customer service, and the security of having my funds deposited with (probably) the best capitalised UK bank far outweigh the cost of trades. All depends what you're looking to achieve.

I use BARX, and am also extremely happy with it. I have a live account as well as a demo account where I can experiment. The customer service is first class. Can't praise them enough.
