Looks like he is more of a "coach" than offering a systematic way of trading. If you trade the Russell, which is $100 per handle, you can trade the Mini Dow which is $50 per handle...Cut your losses in half with the same learning curve...

You might want to check out my blog for more info on trading the market unemotionally and always having an objective view of the market (or DON'T TRADE!). lol

Hi There,

Are you the same as watts trading? Your tading system so quite similar to his. Same way of entry and indicator setup.

Would you share alittle how mechanical is your system? I think futures trading should be as mechanical as possible because the market is quite fast.

Thank you

Hey FX, no I am new blood here (or fresh roadkill !! ) -- please check out my profile and contact info, my attention span stays the same for about 3 years, then I reinvent myself again. Staying the same is very boring!!

I would check out the thread I started yesterday for some of my pearls of wisdom. I use www.gotomeeting.com and my blog for dispensing my knowledge.

I also use multi-media on my blog (free) which will give you tremendous insight into how I trade. Very low risk, methodical, not exciting...3% dent in your margin account per losing trade. All of that stuff is free, take it, leave it, critique it or ignore it..

ATTN PEANUT GALLERY: If you don't have anything constructive to say, suggest you pick another thread.

Regards,

The Mechanical Day Trader

I took the TradeSafe course and just completed my 3 month training period. As a new day trader, I found it to be very helpful. Michael Guess teaches a very specific, rules-based method to enter an established short term trend on a pullback with good risk management. An experienced, successful trader might find it to be too basic. But for an unsuccessful trader or a newbie, like me, it taught me an A-Z method to start daytrading. He gets you set up on whatever charting service you prefer (he recommends Ninja), gives you an indicator template and shows you how to program your exit strategies. He only has one entry strategy, but it works as long as you patiently wait for the set-up to occur. Sometimes you get 0-1 set-ups a day and other days up to 6. So you have to be patient (which I am not) and disciplined. I am still doing simulated trading and would be profitable if I only took the TradeSafe trades. But I am also working on counter-trend trading using support and resistance levels with divergence, as well as breakouts. So basically, I am overtrading. I am in the process of throwing out the low-probability set-ups and just keeping the high-probablity ones. TradeSafe will definitely be one of the high-probability set-ups I keep.
