Sorry, I have just seen this thread today.
I use divergence to trade as a first signal.
There is normal divergence when the chart is in a trend and there is buy and sell divergence when a top or bottom has been detected.
Divergence is easy to detect but in my experience it needs something extra to confirm what type it is.
