could it be....a trading platform source code for 5k...AWESOME.

the platform looks OKAY but what appeals most is that the source code is only 5k....compare that to say metatrader where you need at least a couple of 100k

For significantly less than £5K you could pay someone to teach you how to trade and not need this at all.

If you’re proficient at VB.Net and C++, you could probably manipulate any current system without paying this. If your knowledge is insufficient, you’ll have to cough up for outside expertise and still pay the 5k. Plus you’ll still have exchange fees.

I reckon you would be better spending these kind of amounts on a Reuters or Bloomberg. I’d be surprised if your requirements can’t be met by an existing vendor.

I’ve seen cheaper than this (even free?) from a German company (can’t remember the name). Do a search via Google.

Something is only good value if:

1. You either need it or know of someone (ie this is a market) that does, and,
2. It is at a significant discount to the rest of the available items currently on the market that provide the near-same functionality.

With the above in mind (and taking your word for it that amongst other vendors, the cost of this source-code is cheap for similar functioning items), the only question remains: 'Do YOU need it ?'.

At this point, I'm consciously making an effort not to attempt to tie you to the actual vendor.

If you can answer the above question in the affirmative, then for you, maybe, it is a steal....
